The Weekend in Review.... belated....

This past weekend was amazing! So so so full! Freddo and I came home late Sunday night (almost Monday morning...) completely exhausted and overwhelmed with the goodness and blessings that God has heaped on us and our family! Hence the reason I've been away... so sorry for my absence!

I hope you all enjoyed a lovely Christmas weekend! This is how ours went...

We flew to beautiful Coeur d'Alene to visit the fam early Wednesday morning... due to some hiccups in typical holiday travel fashion... we arrived in Idaho exactly 12 hours later than we were supposed to... fortunately... I love spending time with the Hubs... and we took full advantage of our mini date in Denver's airport that day... We got to Grandma June's home late that night and immediately "conked" out.

The next morning we hit the ground running... lots of coffee was had... breakfast with a handful of siblings and their "others" around the table.... errands... hugs... "squishes" with the cutest little "Iz" there ever was... sigh... it was a good few days...
Some of the sibs hanging out at Grandma June's with baby Iz...

Freddo & Annie (love her!!)... and their first snow man!

Some more pics with Iz... can NOT get enough of her!

Christmas Eve at my parent's house is truly an experience... ever since I can remember we've opened up all of our presents on Christmas Eve... we are not those, "dainty-eat-your-quiche-open-your-stocking-then-presents-on-Christmas-morning" kind of families... we do it all on Christmas Eve.... you'd think that with a family of officially over 20... yes 20 (!!!!) that we'd figure out some way to split everything up... to make things more bearable... but we scoff at "bearable"... we laugh at "Christmas morning present openers"... we do it ALL on Christmas Eve...

1st it's church for Christmas Eve service...
The girls dressed up and ready for Christmas Eve service
2nd it's home for yummy goodness Christmas feasty-ness....

3rd it's time for presents... presents galore...
Abes and Ina... the perfect Christmas Elves... ready to hand out the mountain of presents!

And this year... it was no different... literally hours of present opening occurred... hours.

By the end of it all... we were pooped... but... so so happy...

Sigh it's such a blessing to have a beautiful and huge-a-moungous family to go home to for the holidays! It was truly a wonderful Christmas!

And how was yours?
