Good Morning... and happy Monday to you!
Well... I'm sitting at my desk sipping a beautiful quad americano... and soaking in the goodness that was this weekend!
Friday started out casual... a date night with Freddo... Shopped a little at JoAnne's and then headed home for dinner and the latest episode of Psych... love that show!
Saturday was loads of fun... woke up early-ish... headed out for a jog with Freddo... got caught in a massive downpour... which was actually lots of fun... it's really lovely to run in the rain and kind of romantic when you're with a cute boy!
The rest of the day was spent running errands and getting ready for my birthday celebration!!! And celebrate we did! It was so much fun! About 20 sweet friends joined us as we sipped a little Swiss "vin chaud"... hot chai and munched on an assortment of cheese, spiced nuts and fabulous desserts... sigh... it was a good birthday... a good night...
Then Sunday morning rolled around and I woke up early to meet up with one of my oldest friends, Lindsey... we had a lovely breakfast catching up on the latest of life... it's such a blessing to have friends who have lasted through the different phases of life with you... Lindsey is one of those friends... she knows me in a way most don't... love her.
After breakfast I came home to "a lot a bit" of of homework (meh.)... patiently waiting for the afternoon and one of my favorite holiday traditions... Handel's Messiah... sigh... it was wonderful... the soloists were spot on and dressed beautifully...
I love this time of year and all that it brings... Christmas music is on the radio... vin chaud is steeping on the stove... Handel's Messiah on Moody's campus... and good friends are all around... sigh... it was a lovely weekend...
