The weekend began and ended with airport runs...
I came home on Friday after being gone for the week on a work trip...
Then on Sunday night I picked Si-Fri up from the airport from a weekend trip away...
In between, there was lots of running.
This weekend Chicago hosted it's famous marathon...
Last year the Hubs and I ran the Chicago...
It was brutal... like "throw-up-3x-before-you-even-reach-the-half-way-point" brutal.
I almost died... not really, but for realz.

So this year we passed on the 26.2 and instead...
In an effort to show our support (and keep up with our 1/2 marathon training)
the Hubs and I went for a nine 6.5 mile run...
Nothing compared to what (over 40,000) other people did yesterday morning in our city...
We met up with these two ca-ute newly weds and cheered on a couple of fabulous friends...
Ah... I just love marathon weekend in the city... makes you want to puff out your chest and cheer for the incredible accomplishment going on...
Then after doing that, go home and eat pizza.
