Clothes Stealers: Platform Edition

Behold, 7 year olds in Platforms:

Hat: Gift, Dress: Missoni for Target, Shoes: Go Jane, Scarf: Thrifted, Bracelet: Gift

If dressing up my little sister is any indication of what type of mother I may be,
then my eggs better run for cover
because there is going to be some serious
"Toddlers in Tiaras" action in their future.

Clothes Stealers: Stealing from outfits past.

I got a new dress this week!
Is it cute enough to distract you from the same old pair of boots I wear with literally everything?

Cardigan:: GapOutlet, Dress, Tights, Boots:: Target, Tank:: H&M

Ba-less my heart!
No matter how hard I try, I just can't seem to part with these boots.
They literally go with everything.

Do you have an item in your closet that you wear all the time?
How do you mix things up?

Help a sista out!
Hansie.

P.S. Linking up with these lovely ladies here,  here and here!

Clothes Stealers: Winter White

we be lovin' winter white.

mmmmm...winter white....
I also like to think I nailed bored/tired look and apathetic stance.
Though, my eyes do look like they still have life in them.
And my arms are held in positions of power.
oh well, I'll get 'em next time.

Tofurkey: A thanksgiving weekend in review

few were as enthused about the tofurkey as I was

the weird point of dad's thanksgiving speech when he whips out his ipad to show us an ipod commercial,
we were all summarily confused
Abe the babe and dan the man on dish duty

trimming the tree
looking at lots of old photos
I loved this thanksgiving break. Getting to spend a whole week with the flim-flam is always a wonderful treat. Not only do I get some quality time with my siblings and parents, I get some quality time with my mother's ebay room. It is a glorious monstrosity full of untold treasures.
I'll have to tell you about it some time.

The weirdest thing always happens when I come home though.
I become immediately sleepy.
A conservative estimate of how much I sleep in a given 24 hour period at my parents house
would have to be between 15-18 hours. The other 6-9 hours are spent refueling and perusing everyone's closets (I can't help it, the sweater is always woolier in the other armoire).

Clothes Stealers: Stealing From Summer To Clothe Autumn...

Do you see this dress?

si-fri and i
I pretty much live in it all summer...
and because I'm a little clingy, it can be tough for me to transition to thicker, warmer dresses in the fall.

I just love it in all of it's faded, over-worn, cotton-y goodness...

So this is my attempt to "steal from summer" to revel in fall.
scarf::cost plus world market; cardigan & belt:: h&m; dress:: OLD; tights & boots:: target

Anything favorite summer pieces you're transitioning into fall with?
Do spill!

Clothes Stealers: Tippety Top, Flippity Flop.

Rachey Pooh and I are eight years apart.
Most of the time I don't notice any difference.
Because...

*We both have a deep love for Mariah, Whitney and the children of Destiny.

*We both understand how there is nothing quite like eating a baguette with brie while sitting on cobblestone somewhere in France.

*We both despise cats.

*We both are nerds who love school.

*We are both already listening to Christmas music.

*We both luuuurve Anthropologie, J. Crew and EmersonMade.

*We both think "You Got Served" is one of the best, worst movies ever.
Right after "Save the Last Dance 2". For realz.

hat:: stolen from rach-- dress, tights & boots:: target-- belt:: h&m-- bracelets:: china & forever 21.

*And, we BOTH love floppy felt hats.
Only Rach has one.
So I stole it.

We may not both have a floppy felt hat, but we can both wear one.
Ahh the joys of clothes stealing.

What?! I'm 30, I do what I want.

Clothes Stealers: Calling All Male Models... or... What to do when your brother steals grandpa's vest.

The following is a tutorial on how to get your ca-ute as a button little bro-ha-ha to do a photo shoot for your fancy blog.

1. Tell him you'll drive him to his friend's house. Then pull over at a deserted location on the way.
He may look a bit shocked, but it'll be ok... promise.

2. You may have to be extra sneaky... sometimes being sneaky includes hiding.

3. Ease him into the photo shoot by convincing him that you want to take some family pics of him and the lil' sis.

4. Give him a big hug and then tell him to just dance.
Brother: shirt- hanes. vest- grandpas. jeans-stolen from older brother. shoes- thrifted.

Sister: Pouf- ettagrace. dress- missoni for target. shoes- target

5. Sometimes his dancing will start slow with the tapping of just a foot.

6. Then it might get a little weird.

7. But in between you'll see some pretty good model action...

8. And get just what you need to write your blog.

Now take that little bro-ha-ha of yours out for an orange mocha frappacino...

Good news is that since you have 6 brothers (er, is that just Rachey Pooh and I?) you won't be at a loss for fun posts!

Kisses,
Hansie.

P.S. Don't forget about the GIVEAWAY! Only one more day to enter!!!
